I am Dr. Shanon Roberts, PhD, LMHC, a Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor, and I have spent over 30 years helping couples find their way back to each other. Couples often tell me, "I wish we had gotten help sooner!" How I work with couples
Every couple argues. It is how couples fight, not whether they fight, that wears down the bond between them, and together we learn to see that the negative cycle is the enemy, not your spouse.
My work is built on the Intimacy For Life Method®, which brings together God's design for marriage and what attachment science shows us about how couples bond. The goal is a marriage that is safe and secure for both of you, a soft place to fall instead of a place where you brace yourself. Research on Emotionally Focused Therapy, the foundation of my approach, shows about 90% of couples significantly improve.

The Marriage Made Whole™ intensive in Bradenton
Two to three days of focused work, about 16 hours, which is comparable to four to six months of traditional weekly sessions. Couples traveling in can stay at my Anna Maria Island cottage. The intensive is in-person counseling in Florida, so you can submit it to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. We will go over costs at your free consultation.
